Another Before and After

This project, I must say was a project of love. All of the parts of this project came together with ease and was completed as I envisioned it.

In this room I wanted to continue using soft neutral earth tones to enhance the space, while introducing color, patterns, and texture through the use of accessories.  This keeps the room interesting but not feeling busy.

This space was transformed from a storage room with a sink and miscellaneous stuff into a wonderful space for parishioners to spend time with their children during service if needed. Like the lounge area, it too will be used for multipurpose. It will be used as another conversational or a waiting area.
I was able to layer this room with inexpensive but quality accessories and furnishings. You do not have to spend a lot of money for an inviting comfortable and eye stimulating space. It just takes a little creativity and a good use of your shopping resources.

Another space completed by RonLouis DESIGNs. I am thankful for clients who know what they want and are good in keeping to their time line. In other words they are making things happen.

Commercial Space: Relax and Lounge

This project has been a month in the making and it is 90% complete. Just a couple of nip and tucks and we can say that this space is finished. But we all know in interior design no space is absolutely finished. There is always room for tweaks.  The office space here has been transformed into a multipurpose lounge area. The space will serve the client well for many years.

Replacing the carpet with warm quality commercial tiles will allow for easy maintenance.

Subtle but sophisticated light fixtures will save energy because of their energy saving status. The cost of these choices will pay for themselves over time while reducing their carbon foot print.

Removing the eye sore of a box, made way to increased space to add two eye popping chairs to add as another conversational area.

Getting the right color tones of the room was critical. It was important to have colors that were sophisticated and neutral but yet not boring, since the space would be used by may people with various taste. The color tones also had to induce a calming feel. Accessories where added from all over the metropolitan area. Still more tweaking ahead but a long way from the space it once was. from old office to lounge; relax and enjoy.

Wedding Success

Wedding Visual Designing: This experience meant more than words can convey.  I was asked by the mother of the bride to work on this project. She trusted my abilities and believed that I would make her daughters day a beautiful one.  I must say there is nothing more priceless than this kind of trust. When you are asked to jump into waters unknown to you, it can come with some fear.  But not negative fear, but fear that causes you to take each step forward with care and abandonment of your pride. What I discovered about myself is that the fear of failure can be founded upon my pride. I learned in designing this wedding that humility is key to success.

First, I had to do away with the notion that "I" can do this all by myself. I quickly had to reach out and ask for help along the way. I had to create a cohesive team that was able to pull this day off. I had to allow the team to act freely as I steered the project.

Secondly I had to throw out the window my fear of failure. I had to trust in my abilities and in my team's ability to be successful. I must say I was blessed with wonderful partners to work on this project. They where truly a gift.

Lastly, I had to embrace the results and the complements that came from so many. The fact is that there is nothing I can not do. But if I allow grace to flow, she will guide my every footstep towards success.

Another Wonderful Week

Completing one space and midway on another. This has been a busy couple of weeks. The client of these two spaces continue to be pleased with the new designs. Trying to give them the best design for the buck. So far with prayer and favor we have accomplished this.

It is has had its challenges but over all it has been pretty smooth sailings.

Having clients that are open and willing to keep the pace of a project has been so beneficial. They know what they want and we continue to execute the design plan.

Here is to another week of accomplishments.

Dream and Act

Good day all! Many wait for life to happen to them, and in time days and years pass by and they keep waiting.
Do not put your dreams on hold waiting for some outside force to some how zap you into your dreams. No you must dream and act. Act upon whatever the gift that the creator has given you. Move in prayer to make it so. And trust that that your creator will guide you all the way. He will. He can and He is able.  Go for it!
